My name is Lizzie Lumsden. I’m an experienced counselling psychotherapist who holds a first class honours masters degree in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am affiliated with relevant professional bodies that aim to ensure a level of professionalism and ethical work within the industry.
I’m British born but spent many years in Dublin completing most of my psychotherapeutic studies and training. My first career was in corporate public relations but after nearly ten years of success in that field, I had a strong impulse to change direction and go into a helping profession. After continuous and intensive retraining, I gained experience with various complex cases in primary care settings, whilst also working with mental health charities.
I’m passionate about the work that I do and believe that everyone deserves a right to live well, enjoy safe, fulfilling relationships and experience psychological freedom. Life isn’t easy. I don’t believe the good life is a life without challenges; it’s a life lived well, to its fullest potential.
